Pedigree. Footprint. Execution.

WICE is a global expert consulting firm pairing top technical expertise with senior-level experience inside government and multilateral systems.

ABOUT US

Who We Are

WICE is a global expert consulting firm. We bring together the top technical specialists in the world across the sectors that define global economic growth, and we pair that expertise with something most firms cannot claim: extensive, senior-level experience inside government and the multilateral system. Our people have sat on both sides of the table — as government and federal officials who designed and funded programs, and as the experts who delivered them. That dual fluency, deployed across 123 countries, is our advantage.

WICE's mission is to put the world's foremost technical experts to work solving the hardest problems in global economic growth — strengthening health systems, protecting ecosystems, advancing food security, and mobilizing sustainable capital — with the government insight, local presence, and execution capability needed to deliver measurable, lasting impact.

Why Us

The WICE Difference

Three things make WICE different from any other consulting firm: expertise, global footprint, and government and multilateral pedigree. Together, they let us go further than advisory-only or finance-only firms ever can.

World-class expertise

Our consultants are recognized leaders in their fields — the specialists other institutions turn to. We field senior, sector-deep talent, not generalist teams, and we assemble the exact experts a mandate requires.

  • Senior specialists: 200+ vetted experts in health, environment, energy, food systems, economic growth, finance, and governance.

  • Rapid, precise deployment: we match the right expert to the right mandate and mobilize quickly.

  • Top technical training: advanced credentials and decades of applied field experience behind every engagement.

Unmatched global footprint

We operate where the work is. Deep, long-standing relationships across the U.S., Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East and North Africa mean we bring local knowledge, trusted partners, and in-country execution capacity from day one.

  • 123 countries: institutional knowledge of donor systems, regulatory environments, and on-the-ground realities.

  • Local partnership network: embedded collaborations with partner organizations across every region we serve.

  • Regional hubs: including a dedicated Southern Africa operation for localized delivery and continuity.

Government and multilateral pedigree

This is what no other consulting firm can replicate at our scale. The great majority of our experts held leadership roles across government, federal, and multilateral institutions. We know how donor priorities are set, how funding mechanisms work, and how to navigate the public-sector processes that make or break a program.

  • Insider fluency: senior experience engaging government institutions, multilaterals, and international donors.

  • Bankability by design: financial structuring, blended finance, and program design that align public priorities with private capital.

  • Compliance you can trust: proven oversight in complex regulatory and fiduciary environments.

  • End-to-end delivery: we don't stop at advice — we structure, mobilize, and implement.

The integrated advantage

Most firms are advisory-only or finance-only. WICE combines senior technical advisory, investment facilitation, and implementation oversight under one coordinated model — a capital-efficient, scalable operating structure that turns policy priorities and program concepts into financeable, executable outcomes.

Tools

We are building proprietary digital assets to sharpen how we source and deploy expertise:

  • WICE GrantHunt™ real-time intelligence on global grant opportunities and capital flows.

  • WICE Experts Marketplace™ :a platform to dynamically manage and deploy our global network of 200+ senior consultants.

These tools mark our transition to a tech-enabled expert model — faster mobilization of specialized talent and more efficient deal-flow management.

To be the world's go-to expert consulting firm for the hardest problems in global economic growth — the trusted partner of choice for governments, multilateral institutions, and strategic private-sector clients, positioned for long-term growth on the strength of our people, our reach, and our track record.

History

Our Journey

The World Institute of Conservation and Environment (“WICE”) was founded in 1989 in the Netherlands by Dr. Daan Vreugdenhil as a mission-driven organization advancing sustainable growth and environmental stewardship.

Over the decades it built deep expertise and relationships across the sectors that drive global economic growth, working alongside governments, multilateral institutions, and partner organizations.

Today, operating independently in the United States, WICE has been repositioned as a global expert consulting firm. The insight behind that repositioning came directly from its U.S. founders, Dr. Emily Weeks through firsthand experience inside government-funded programs across the public and multilateral sectors. Government and federal agencies operate with embedded infrastructure, sovereign relationships, and in-country implementation capacity; private investors, by contrast, often struggle to enter emerging economies because of limited regulatory visibility, institutional access gaps, and thin on-the-ground execution capability.

WICE bridges that gap. Rather than building capability from scratch, the firm draws on its established global network of 200+ senior professionals — many of whom held leadership roles across government, federal, and multilateral institutions, and in private-sector initiatives. This network spans 123 countries and carries deep institutional knowledge of donor systems, regulatory environments, and operational delivery in complex markets. That expertise, footprint, and pedigree are the firm's core assets — established and ready to deploy.
